Hello! I'm Sergio

I have always liked video games, especially for playing with my friends. I keep in my best memories when I took my PS2 to a friend's house and we spend the all the afternoon playing.
When I was a teenager I discovered HackXCrack magazines. Due to that, I got into the world of programming with Visual Basic.

For that reason, I have discovered my true passion, developing video games. My biggest illusion is to make people feel the same way, either playing with friends or playing individually.

Before I started my career making videogames, I had been working in web development, but I felt these jobs didn't were the ones I would like to do in my future.

Once I switched to Game Development, I had to learn all from scratch, how to use the Unity engine, how to use the physics engine on Unity and more.
However, I know this is my place and I am very happy for this change.

I usually join GameJams and I am always doing new games or prototypes to improve my knowledge, my skills, to try new features of Unity and to work with people, which is something I really like.

Consequently, I have learned how to do a better architecture, how to decouple the classes and make them maintainable using SOLID, and how to do the desired features in the best manner.

Now I am working with my Studio, Ashes Of Joy, as Unity Developer making an isometric cyberpunk-themed 2D game.

I have to look for it again.... Where is he? Will I be able to find him? Grafel, he drives me crazy. This cat doesn't stop. You on the screen, will you be able to find him? Will you be able to guess which characters we have based ourselves on? Do you dare to find him?

I worked in this game in the Global Jam 2020.
I did all the logic about the movement of the player inside the house, the movement of the furniture in the 3D puzzles and UI logic of all game.

El viaje

An unusual journey with an unexpected ending, this adventure is in the first person. You will have to discover who you are and where are you going?

I worked in this game in the Intrinsic Game Jame 2020.
I did all the logic about the movement, music, interactions with the environment.

In this game, you have to discover what happened to you.
You will go to a few locations of the life of the player to discover more about the player and their goal in their life.

I worked on this game when I was at Zitro Games.

I improved the general performance of the game and decreased the amount of bugs.

Also, I implemented new features and improved the previous ones.

I started a new version of the Daily Bonus.

I changed the functionality of Aircash to limit the number of bets you can choose depending of your level.

El pendulo de Newton

I  wrote almost all the code of the gameplay and the UIs.

This is a 2D endless runner where you have to escape from a laboratory where the robots were experimenting with you.

You can jump and go down or up the floor to avoid obstacles.

Delivery Nightmare

I  wrote all the code of the gameplay and the UIs.

This is a 3D game where which looks like a 2D classical Space Game.

You can choose between three ships and upgrade them.

You control a delivery person who has to take different packages to a certain point. You have to evade your own partners who want to increase their benefits with your losses.

The logic of the IA was implemented using Navmesh and Raycasting to be sure enemies only can see player when the player is inside their range of sight,

Used events and some more advanced code to simplify the development
